Due to circumstances beyond my control, OK the brewery staff need to get away, the start time has been brought forward to 7.00pm. Gives us all more time to sample the wares.
The format for the night will still be the same with a short presentation by the brewery followed by a Q&A session. Then a bit of food and a small quiz. Perfect night if you ask me.
Also a slight change to the beer delivered compared to that ordered, such are the perils of a cellar man.
Bombay IPA 3.7% – Floral aroma with a hint of marmalade, mild tang freshness, deceptive low alcohol content
Porters Black 5.0% – Dark, malty, roasted & smoky, deep and very elegant with an unexpected light taste
Steeplejack 3.8% – Light golden hoppy, refreshing premium session ale
True North 4.0% – Golden, citrusy zest with hints of pine and grapefruit produced from the American citra hops, **brand new brew**
Northern Storm 4.6% – Full-bodied chestnut coloured ale, rich chocolate flavourings with a distinct nutty aftertaste **brand new brew**
Trick or Treacle 4.5% – no tasting notes, the badge says “toffee”, but I think the name says it all **seasonal brew**.
