Under 8s Presentation – 10th May 2015

Well its done, dusted and over for another season! Please find below a summary of the U8s presentation

Bronze Award – Most Improved
Firstly, every single player in the squad has improved over the season but this award goes to the person, who has developed more than others.

The most quietest, shy and … (who am I trying to kid!!!) . He has improved all season and has been awesome in the last 4 games of the season

The bronze award goes to Archie. Congratulations and well done!

Silver Award – Coach’s player of the season
This award is for a number of attributes. Attendance, attitude, ability to learn, improvement and performance in matches

New to rugby at the start of the season, he is always attentive during sessions putting into practice what is being coached first time, every time. One of the nicest lads you are ever likely to meet.

The silver award goes to Guy. Congratulations and well done!

Gold Award – Players Player
The players player is voted for amongst the squad. Each player selects a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice and the winner is the one with the most votes. This was really close between two players and the winner could only be determined after the last vote was received.

With pace to burn, excellent balance and agility plus a fantastic attitude to both training and rugby in general.

The winner of the gold award and this season’s players player is Reece. Congratulations and well done!

Finally, I know it isn’t easy to stand around in the cold/wet while the kids run around like headless chickens (sometimes) but I would like to thank you all for you support of Eccles RFC, the under 8s team, Martin and myself over the season. Much appreciated!

Enjoy the off season and hope you all return ready and raring to go in August/September.

Martin and Darren
