Under 7s Training – 8th February 2015

A chill was in the air and what seemed to be a few disobedient goldfish were on the training ground!

A big Eccles welcome to Teddy who attended his first session. (It’s been a while since the last time I used that line!)

After a quick warm up (if you can call it that) we stated the runabout with a game of Heroes and Villains with Oliver first and then Josh becoming the ultimate Super Villain. Note that Josh actually ran the gauntlet twice without being caught!

We then swapped to a bit of ballet dancing on the run (or tagging for the purist) with little Sam excelling in the pirouette and Peggy in the tag snatch.

To try and keep everyone warm we then swapped to a few side to side shuttles where Sandy’s almost crab-esq running was the pick of the bunch.

We then swapped to a game based drill with quick offloads being key. Both Sandy and Peggy took centre stage.

Finally we swapped to Kids vs Jaye and myself that ended in a credible draw before the session concluded in chaos.

STAR OF THE WEEK goes to Sandy, consistent performance and concentration throughout the session. Well done!

Next week we are playing Bolton at home, usual time of 10:30.

See you next week
