Under 12 v. Widnes – Away- Sunday 11th October 2015

Well done again to James for getting a match organised for the boys at the last minute.

Following the first match of the season last week at home against Sedgley, the boys were looking for another win. Again, it was an organised start – training in the dark has clearly developed Jedi mind skills! The first half saw some fantastic passing down the line from the breakdown and good use of space with skilful inter-passing play. There was good play from the forwards, who managed to turn over the ball at every opportunity and good passing allowing the ball out to Nathan and Harry on the wings. Jake was successful in organising the boys well. There were tries from Nathan, Henry and Lucas; the latter using his strength well.

The second half was much of the same. The boys worked effectively as a team, with forwards following up the backs well. There was good forward play from George, setting up a try for Jake, a good pick up by Billy from a loose ball, also resulting in a try, along  with strong determined runs and tackling from Henry and Harvey. Tries were scored by Jake, Nathan, Billy, Lucas and George. A strong overall performance.
