What can I say about Sunday? The “Heroes and Villains” game took on a literal meaning as I was surrounded by two princesses, an Ironman, a Superman, Robin plus others. Harry had selected his usual eclectic costume of Halloween meets 15th century Caribbean to form a ghost pirate. Of course this was away from Gorton Street at a kids party I had to attend and Martin took the training session alone (TVM)
For those of you not in the know about last weeks report … I was challenged to put 80s rock song titles into it (thanks Michelle!) so I wasn’t going mad (honest). There are 17 rock songs (one a little tenuous in either its from 1978 or needs an “I” in front of it) and that is not counting Madonna’s Borderline in the last sentence.
The Christmas party for the kids will be on Sunday 15th December and is being organised by the Under 18s Girls team as part of their Duke of Edinburgh . The intention is to partially fund the party through club funds for food etc however there will be a cost of £1 for each child. I have also been asked to ask the parents to provide a wrapped selection box for their child/children to be opened at the party.
At some point (this week or next) club Christmas raffle tickets will be circulated.
Next week is a home game against Broughton Park. Please note that with a number of other teams playing at home on the same day it will be extremely busy.
I (again) will be skiving next week, so any information on the games played would be greatly appreciated and then I can incorporate into a match report on the website.
