U7s Training 06/04/2014

After the excellent performances last week it was back to a training session at Gorton Street.

As usual, the session included Heroes and Villains but this time with no outright winner as a proper defensive line (I don’t believe it!!!) held fast.

The Teflon gloves were also out in force during passing and catching and the funniest thing I have seen in training was the attempt at piggy back races. Well done to Harry, Reece and Lucas for making it over the distance.

Further group drills were also done and it was good to see the encouragement, anticipation and of course the big cheer, when they completed a passing drill successfully without dropping the ball.

STAR OF THE WEEK very difficult, mainly because I neglected my coaching duties in favour of catching up with admin! This week I am feeling generous, for sheer strength (and amusement) in the piggy back race and being the only ones to complete the full distance the STARS OF THE WEEK are Harry, Lucas and Reece. Well done.

I more or less now have all the nominations in for Players Player and the winner is … you will have to wait until the presentation!!!!

The Gala dinner dance is looming large and only a few places left. I have requested a table (10 seats) with four couples interested. I also know another table with other U7s parents that also has 3 places available. Please note that the cost of the dinner is £40 per head which includes champagne reception, 4 course meal etc (see link). The deposit of £20 per head is required by this Sunday followed by full payment by Sunday 4th May latest.

On Sunday we play Bury at home. As usual there are a number of games on, so the car park will be busy. If possible can you please make it for 10:15 so we can start a warm up.

See you on Sunday.
