U15’s Girls

It has been hard for the Under 15’s girls this season keeping up momentum. What started out as 5 teams in their league, it soon transpired that in fact there were only 2 teams with enough players to fulfil their fixtures. This was Eccles and LSH.   Following a merger of girls Manchester and Northwich combined to make that 3 teams in the league.

The RFU have been organising a couple of “Pitch & Play” events which allows the girls some much needed game time.   We attended the first held at Vale of Lune and had a very good turnout.   We had a very good turnout for the event at Northwich last weekend (12th January) it was just a shame it had been cancelled so the least said about that fiasco the better.

Our squad is growing with Trev working hard to recruit more girls. Training is every Wednesday regardless of the weather which does not deter them from their enthusiasm to attend.  We have some very talented girls, 6 of whom were selected for the Lancashire team following the trials that were held at Eccles this time around.  Those girls have also been chosen to trial at the North Divisional Trials which, weather permitting, are to take place this weekend 20th January.    Fingers crossed and the very best of luck to you girls.   I will, of course, keep the site updated with the outcome of those trials when they occur.
