Female rugby at Eccles RFC is going from strength to
strength led by the senior ladies team which enjoyed 'triple' success in
2010/11.
Eccles are proud holders of the Lancashire Plate, Manchester 7s Plate and were
voted ‘Lancashire Women and Girls Team of the Year 2010/11’ by the Lancashire
governing body. In addition, a consistent league campaign resulted in
promotion to Championship North 2 for the 2011/12 season.
If you are interested in playing ladies rugby at Eccles please join us at
training on Thursday evenings for a prompt 7.30pm start. Training takes place
at Eccles RFC, Gorton St, Eccles and is floodlit with full shower and changing
facilities available..
There are opportunities for female players of any age and experience level to
play rugby at Eccles. As well as the senior ladies side, a development team
made up primarily of less experienced players will compete in matches
throughout the year providing an opportunity to learn and gain confidence.
There are also U15 and U18 girls’ sides at the club for potential players to
get involved in.
