European Cup Final – Saturday 14th May – KO 4:45pm

There are two good reasons to come down to the club his Saturday.

First we will be showing the European Rugby Champions Cup Final. This will involve Saracens (our new adopted friends on the grounds their supporters like our club) taking on Racing 92. Kick Off is 4:45pm so get down early or you’ll be left with having to sit next to either, Me, Fat Harry or Bromley. That’s a bit like the good, the bad or the ugly.

Second, and some may say more importantly, Mrs Wilson has been brewing potions, casting spells and generally practising some strange dark arts. This has all resulted in the local Heineken Rep coming under her influence and producing some discounted beers for the bar. So for a limited period only, while stocks last, Selected Cask Ales will be on offer at £1.50 per pint.

The beers on offer, to start with, will be;

Wychwood – Hobgoblin (5%) – A full-bodied, Ruby beer that delivers a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour, balanced with a rounded bitterness and an overall fruity, mischievous character.

Wychwood – Hobgoblin Gold (4.5%) – Guilt edged golden refreshment. Well, what did you expect?

Bank Top – Blonde (5%) – An extremely pale ale made with New Zealand hops resulting in a pleasant woody flavour and distinctive berry aroma.

If you’re all good little chaps, and you help get rid of this stuff, additional beers will be put on offer. But not telling you which ones, yet.

Before I started on my quest of world domination I was a part time dress maker, specialising in the larger woman. To succed in my aim of world domination my first plan is to cause social unrest and panic through subliminal messages in my match reports, so reader beware. During my long journey of life I have caused havoc in many lands, Geordie land, Cockney land and now Manc land. And this is without mentioning what I got up to in foreign rugby tours to USA, Canada, Holland, Hungary, Ireland & Wales.
